The Bigger Picture.
BikeTank is an experiment in collective creativity. We are exploring how design can make cities more human. "What do we mean by 'making cities more human'?" Our view is a granular one. Design is performative. Design is projective. If cities are domains for performance, i.e. a place where we constitute subjects and shape objects, then design is the best tool to drag the present towards the future. Design: When we bring design through any of these processes, we start to enact the future that we are describing. By 'represent' we mean the active realisation of an idea into a concrete representation: By making representations of design as concrete and embedded in the city as possible, we are constructing a more human city. You become the active actors in the performance. "At BikeTank the intensive collaborations - compressed by the pressure of the clock - erupt with unabashed, unapologetic ideas."

NEXT BIKETANK: You are welcome to our next BikeTank: Location: u.lab Tickets include free barista coffee and pastries, but we'd like you to register (so we can order enough goodies). WELCOME! BikeTank is an intensive workshop where we play with new design thinking methods for cities. Each session is an intensive exploration into a defined topic hosted by emerging design entrepreneurs and leading thinkers, contributing to a bigger picture project. You can have some coffee and pastries and even get your bike tyres pumped and swap bike stories.
